Russia does not meet the commitments taken upon before the EU, but it has nuclear weapon and is a country of completely different power. From the EU member countries it is only Armenia and Azerbaijan who have volunteered into the structure but have not met the commitments.

These points of view were expressed today by Shavarsh Kocharyan, member of the Justice bloc, and Avetik Ishkhanyan, head of the Committee Helsinkyan. The Political debate club had organized today a discussion with the theme «The Meeting of Commitments Taken upon Before the EU».

Not a single representative of the coalition wanted to take part in the discussion, and two-week negotiations had no results. From those who accepted the invitation, Rouben Torosyan, head of the party «Human Rights and Democracy» said that the representatives of the opposition have sent many letters to the EU showing that Armenia does not meet the commitments and does not hold up to democratic standards.
