The next faked accusation
On February 12 Chairman of the Board of "Armeconombank" Saribek Sukiasyan and Director of "Ayrarat" shopping mall Artash Stepanyan were arrested.
Now the arrested people are kept in the places for arrestees, the required 72 hours to place them in pre-trial detention will be completed today.
Based on the decision of arrest made after 10 hours of being kept in Erebuni department of the Police Station, Chairman of the Board of "Armeconombank" Saribek Sukiasyan is suspected under Article 137 of RA Criminal Code ("Threat to murder, to inflict heavy damage to one's health or to destroy property"), Director of "Ayrarat" shopping mall Artash Stepanyan is suspected not only under this Article but also for illegal carrying of weapons.
Attorneys Lusine Sahakyan and Yervand Varosyan will defend Saribek Sukiasyan. According to Yervand Varosyan weapons were not confiscated from the suspects.
"it is the next faked accusation, another not successful attempt of "preparing a case", attorney Ara Zakaryan told us during the interview,- I don't want to talk about illegal behavior of the Police and grave violations of human rights, juxtaposition of the facts shows that this is another not successful attempt of preparing a case against the Sukiasyans' family.
By the way, Ara Zohrabyan, who was the defense attorney of the Sukisyans' family in the case of "Bjni", would be a witness in this case.
According to the information released by the Police, on February 12, at 17:30, director of "Audit" LTD applied to Erebuni department of the police and informed that in October, 2008, he sold Saribek Sukiasyan's wife 41% of the shares of "Byuregh" company owned by him.
In November, 2009 the transaction was recognized invalid by the Court of Cassation, after which a new shareholder appeared in the company, who expressed his willingness to buy the shares belonging to Gor Davtyan. In order to inform Saribek Sukiasyan about this, Gor Davtyan went to the office of "Sil Group" on February 12, at 13:00 o'clock, where he was made to sign a number of documents related to the shares under threat to murder.
All this information is provided in the press release of the Police.
During the interview with us attorney Ara Zohrabyan, presented information of a so-called economic content. First he mentioned that there had been business relations among Gor Davtyan and Saribek Sukiasyan. "Same Gor Davtyan had sold shares of the company to Saribek Sukiasyan, had received money, then the court considered this transaction invalid", says Ara Zohrabyan.
Then he brings our attention to another thing, " "Byuregh" company is in Bjni village and is considered rival of "Bjni". Sukiasyan had got these shares when "Bjni" was under arrest and it was clear what fate "Bjni" would have. At this period some shares were purchased by Ruben Hayrapetyan, who exerted pressure on Gor Davtyan trying to receive the package of shares preventing it to go to Saribek Sukiasyan".
According to Ara Zohrabyan, the hierarchy and chronography of the events make them think that the actions were planned beforehand. The policemen were in the office of "Sil Concern" at16:00, Gor Davtyan made an announcement at 17:30.
Besides the chronographic discrepancies there are also contextual contradictions among official and not official clarifications.
"When the facts are observed at this chronology it becomes clear that the operation of bringing them to the police station was planned beforehand; it was planned that Gor Davtyan would visit Sukiasyan, and then the policemen would come".
Ara Zohrabyan said that when he talked on phone with Gor Davtyan the day before, Davtyan said that he had been threatened by Ruben Hayrapetyan to sell the package of shares to him. They decided to meet at the office of "Sil Concern" the next day. They prepared and signed a letter that Gor Davtyan refused to sell his shares to Ruben Hayrapetyan.
It should be also mentioned that Saribek Sukiasyan has health problems.
"My client is ill with pneumonia, and has heart problems, but the police don't pay any attention to it", said Lusine Sahakyan.
