Illegal Expulsions Are Still Going On
Only after the arrival of the human rights defender Armen Harutyunyan at the place of the incident at 83 Byuzand, it became possible to suspend the illegal assault of members of the CECA workers temporarily. A defender had called the chief of the court act execution and told him, that the expulsion is at least disputable. Before the defender would arrive, the responsible of the prompt reaction group Armen Mashinyan examined the decision of the administrative court, where the expulsion of people from this very flat was not mentioned at all.
One should have seen how indecent and cynic the behaviour of the CECA workers was, who refused to present themselves or any papers substantiating their acts. The only principle they were led by, was the contention "dont ya even try to mess with us". These actions were also witnessed by police officers, who felt constrained to take any steps, but when the CECA workers rudely said "hey men, why're ya standin' here, come keep all this journalist-stuff off, take them to the police station". The police officers made a step forward, but did not take illegal actions.
The house owner Nune Hambardzoumyan, with a bottle of petrol in her hand, together with her daughters (one of which is under-age) threatened that she would rather burn herself and her flat, than give the flat away. There was a fuss, the CECA workers tried to take away the bottle of petrol from Nune, meanwhile they pushed her and she fell on the floor... Screams and cries... The target of the CECA workers' aggression became a young boy, who was beaten, kicked and thrown out. That small flat was crowded with more than a dozen of CECA workers, the actions of which were followed by representatives of the same number of mass media. Eventually the CECA workers succeeded in taking the petrol-bottle away from the woman.
The expulsion process was witnessed by representatives of a dozen of mass media, which did not restrain the CECA workers. "Go to our information centre, they'll tell you what we're doing here", were their words. Anyway one had to see the loyal service of two state institutions, the CECA and the police, to a private person, namely Flash (or Fresh) Barsekh, who had privatized this area.
The defenders of Nune Hambardzoumyan's interests were also present. They persuaded the CECA workers to act within the legislative framework. Attorney Edgar Badeyan said that he had lodged a court claim and it had been taken into consideration, but the solicitation of the lawyers to freeze the flat until the court decision was made, was rejected without any explanation.
The electricity of the flat was put out and was turned back on only after the lawyers visited the electrics.
"Hayk Beglaryan has given an order to turn off the lights, if I do not do that, I'll lose my job", said the worker at the electrics to the lawyer. "They are doing everything possible and impossible, in order to drive these people out of their house, without giving any compensation", says Edgar Badeyan.
Nune Hambardzoumyan was offered a paltry compensation, on which it's impossible to buy even a peripheral one-bedroom flat.
"We demand a 2-bedroom flat, even on the outskirts of the city, in order to satisfy the sufficient life conditions of our family", says Nune.

After the CECA members left the flat, the red berets arrived, who, according to the witnesses, were waiting for some kind of an order to start their action.
