RA Court of Cassation dismissed the cassation appeal
of the defenders of Sevan Evangelical Church pastor Vladimir Baghdasaryan. Robert
Revazyan and Anahit Saghatelyan on reversing the 13.07.2011 judgment of the Court
of General Jurisdiction of Gegharqunik Marz by which Baghdasaryan was found
guilty of Article 164.1 (Hindrance to the legal professional activities of a
journalist). Their cassation appeal was also dismissed.

The representative of the religious
organization claims that he did not hinder journalists from carrying out their
activities, on the contrary the journalists were the ones, who trespassed to
his own premises and started shootings without introducing themselves properly
and getting permission to make video recordings. According to the journalists,
Baghdasaryan slapped on the face of the cameraman.

In the interview to www.hra.am Robert Revazyan, Baghdasaryan’s
attorney, said that they plan to apply to the European
Court of Human Rights.
