“Sako” at the Human Rights Watch Film Festival

A new film festival, initiated by the Human Rights Watch, has been opened in London. Among many films in the program of the festival the short documentary film 'Sako' is also included.
This movie, which will be shown in the frames of the festival tomorrow, is a project, realised by Manana Youth Educational-Cultural Centre. The directors of the movie shot in 2005, are Aram Abrahamyan and Davit Martirosyan. The 5-minute film tells about 13-year-old boy Sako.
The boy talks about his prosaic life: he is out of school, he dreams of happiness, of seeing the world, of going to school. But he is obliged to make tombstones in order to support his family.
'Sako' has already been shown at the Human Rights Watch film festival for several times.
'Manana' is an NGO, established in 1998. It deals with the problems of children, produces movies, develops educational games, TV and radio programs, etc.
The Festival will take place in London until the 28th of March. The program of the festival includes movies from Iran, Pakistan, Serbia, a number of European, Asian, Middle East and African countries.
The film of Raoul Peck's 'Moloch Tropical", telling about the political crisis in Hawaii, shot before the disastrous earthquake, will open the festival.
