Seminar-discussion on the “Journalists’ Role in Conflict Resolution Process”
The Armenian UN Association (AUNA), in cooperation with the Civil Society Institute (CSI), invites you to take part in a seminar-discussion on the “Journalists’ Role in the Conflict Resolution Process” which will take place on 19 December at 15:00, at the Civil Society Institute office (Aygestan 11 str., building # 43).
The Seminar is organized in the framework of the “Responsibility to Protect (R2P): Mobilizing Public and Political Will” project.
The Seminar will present the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) international norm adopted by the United Nations in the 2005 World Summit aimed at prevention of genocides, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanities.
The journalists’ role in the modern society is not only limited by information exchange, but also includes conflict prevention, as well as early warning.
The Seminar will be conducted by Amalya Grigoryan, the national coordinator of “Responsibility to Protect (R2P): Mobilizing Public and Political Will” project.
