The Next Elite Building on the Place of Milano

The notary and the employee of the service of Obligatory Implementation of the Forensic Acts got into an argument with the owner of the shop 'Milano' Hovhannes Khoukasyan and the director of 'Auto FM' ltd. Avetis Karagoulyan, while signing an agreement. As a result the notary did not verify the agreement.

Khukasyan's lawyer Tigran Hayrapetyan says that the OIFA workers were obliged to make the defendant sign the agreement before the alienation of the property of 'Milano', and now it cannot be signed at all, because of the problem of compensation for the area (Karagoulyan suggested to state the value of only 125 square meters out of the 600 meters of a two-storage building), as well as the fact that Hovhannes Khukassian is not the only owner of 'Milano'.

"It wasn't clear for the notary, why only one of the owners was present. In addition to that there were controversial points in the verdict of the court," said the lawyer, "According to the verdict, in case of signing the agreement Hovhannes Khoukasian has the right to stay on the territory of 'Milano' for two months. It means if the agreement was signed, it would prove once more the illegal actions of the OIFA."

If also today Hovhannes Khoukasian refuses to sign the agreement and does not vacate the territory (address: Abovyan 3), he will have to pay 400 000 drams to the government daily.

The director of 'Avo' Ltd Avetis Karagoulyan, who purchased the territory of 'Milano', says, that the 400 mln drams, allocated for this deal, have been in a bank since 2007, but according to his words Hovhannes Khoukasian never agreed to take it.

"I have been involved in various trials and I realized that they have ugly minds. We have now reached the Court of Appeal. This area is for sale and Khoukasian will create an obstacle for the government: I have legally signed a tenancy agreement with the government and they will obstacle my honest work," says Karagoulyan.

By the decision of the Government of RA the area of the 'Milano' shop has been put on sale and has been bought by 'Avo' Ltd. The process of expulsion of 'Milano's' owner was started on March 10th, 2010. From that day on the shop has been closed for the customers. The new owner of 'Milano' is going to build a new elite building on its place.
