Recognized as invalid in only 2 polling stations

N10 precinct elections committee has made a decision about Ara Simonyan's election as a deputy in the National Assembly.

Before that the mentioned committee has discussed all of the received complaints, as a result the committee has recognized as invalid the election of January 10 in two polling stations, N10/15, N 10/19.

The materials about election violations will be sent to the Prosecutor's office. The committee has declined the complaint to recognize as invalid the election in N10/34 polling station substantiating that it is mentioned not certain falsifications, but conflicts and violence that law enforcement agencies has to address.

According to the published preliminary data Ara Simonyan has received about 2600 votes more than Nikole Pashinyan.

There are many evidences (opposition, observers, journalists) that these elections were followed with falsifications, violence and terror.

The observers of American embassy in Armenia witnessed a number of
violations on the Election day, including terror, oral and physical threatening addressed to the journalists and observers. The embassy has called upon Armenian authorities to "investigate all violations that were reported, and find out the responsible persons and bring a case towards them".

"We are happy to see that the required recalculations are being done in some polling stations, and that authorities recognized as invalid the results in such polling stations, where the voting normal process was hindered", said Embassy speaker Thomas Mittnacht to radio station "Liberty".

Yesterday Chief Prosecutor's office disseminated a release about recorded violations in N10 polling station; as of January 12, one complaint about a violation was received, and the prosecutor's office processed 7 reported violations on its own initiative as a result of media monitoring.

According to the release the Prosecutor's office has given instructions to the Police to check the published circumstances of challenging the activities of media representatives, proxies, observers, falsifying voting results, voting instead of another person in a number of polling stations and take actions as envisaged by law.
