170 Renovated Homes

Habitat for Humanity has crossed the milestone of 400,000 built and renovated homes during the last fiscal year.

Since its foundation in 1976, the model of self-sufficiency and purposeful assistance of the Habit for Humanity non-profit organization has ensured over 2 million people with reconstructed, renovated homes and/or new homes and apartments.

Since 2000, the organization has built, rebuilt and renovated over 590 homes and apartments in Armenia. The organization envisages the renovation of 170 homes and apartments in the 2011 fiscal year.

"Habitat for Humanity is continuing its efforts to provide proper and accessible apartments to needy families. We are happy to have been able to help Habitat for Humanity in reaching this important milestone aimed at ensuring more favorable housing conditions for communities in Armenia," said Habitat for Humanity Armenia Foundation's Executive Manager Luiza Vardanyan.
