Today, on December 16, 2010, the National Commission on Television and Radio announced the results of the broadcasting tenders. "A1+" did not receive the opportunity to be back on air once again. All members of the NCTR, except Ara Tadevosyan, gave "A1+"'s proposal package a score of 0, while "ArmNews"'s proposal package received a score of 6. Ara Tadevosyan had given a score of 2 for both packages. Based on the results, "A1+" scored only 2 points, while "ArmNews" scored a total of 44 points.

"ALM" had 32 points and lost to "Yerevan" with 40 and Tigran Karapetyan left the hall. 

As a reminder, the members of the National Commission on Television and Radio were Grigor Amalyan, Jirayr Dadasyan, Simavon Andreasyan, Armen Mkrtchyan, Ara Tadevosyan, Aram Melkonyan, Hayk Kotanyan and Koryun Arakelyan.

After the Board of Trustees of the "People's TV" Foundation supporting "A1+" TV ended its session, it adopted the following declaration:

"On 16 December 2010 the National Commission on Television and Radio proved once again that it is not independent and is incapable of holding fair and transparent tenders after recognizing "A1+" TV as defeated based on groundless reasons for the 13th time.

The fact that 7 of the 8 members of the Commission gave "A1+"'s proposal package a score of 0 already goes to show that the commission members' approaches were non-professional and predetermined.

The arguments brought up by the chairman of the commission during the press conference following the tender are very weak and confuse the public.

"A1+" will present its own arguments. The Board of Trustees expresses deep disappointment over the NCTR's work.

We state that the NCTR and the Armenian authorities ignored the European Court's 17 July 2008 decision on "Meltex" LTD (A1+), the several documents and calls of reputable international organizations and the opinion of the Armenian society.

The Board of Trustees reaffirms its willingness to continue efforts aimed at establishing a "People's Television"," as stated in the declaration.
