The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan received Koen Goei, Project Officer for the Netherlands Helsinki Committee, Leo Tigges, NHC Senior Expert for Probation, and Artak Kirakosyan, Director of the Civil Society Institute NGO.

During the meeting a number of issues related to the capacity building of the Probation Service were discussed, mainly focusing on the development of a strategy and the action plan, the establishment of close cooperation with the Service and community bodies, the improvement of the conditional early release system, and the positive and negative aspects of the electronic monitoring system.

Minister Zeynalyan assured that the Ministry of Justice is determined to develop the field of probation, and the knowledge and experience of the experts can contribute to the improvement of the system.
