On March 9 during the government session the decision to provide financial resources to the Ministry of Justice to buy a server for the data input of the beneficiaries of the Probation Service was made

For this purpose it is planned to use 2.6 million drams of the saved funds (nearly 5.3 thousand dollars). On the grounding of the decision is also mentioned, that for the security consideration it is preferable, if the server is located in Armenia.

CSI welcomes the initiative and considers this measure to be a very important development for creating an effective system of case management of offenders. It is also a prerequisite for the development of the risk and needs assessment tools of offenders, based on objective actuarial methods.
