Today, on March 7 the Court
of General Jurisdiction of Kenton and Nork-Marash Districts rejected the action
of attorney Arthur Grigoryan against “Hraparak” newspaper, because it was
unsubstantiated.

To remind, attorney Arthur
Grigoryan was offended from the comments written under the article initialed
“Are citizens the victims of unscrupulous attorneys?” which was published on
the website of "Hraparak" newspaper hraparak.am in August. The
attorney demanded AMD 18 million from the newspaper for offending his dignity.
According to the case each of the comments of the readers contains libel and
insult. 

Arthur Grigoryan refused to
make any comment to www.hra.am and said he would appeal against the court decision in the Court of
Appeal.

“This is a victory of media
as after this decision we can be engaged in journalism without any trouble”
said Armine Ohanyan, the editor of “Hraparak” newspaper.

Ohanyan expressing her
appreciation to the court for impartiality mentioning that this is the first
sustainable victory in court cases brought against their newspaper.
