Hakob Melkonyan is one among more than 600 people with visual problems, living in Gyumri.  Today, he attempts to prove everyone that having visual problems does not mean being disabled.

Even though this young man, aged 28, has not received full education, but due to self-learning he has good command of Braille alphabet, plays three musical instruments, writes poetry, lyrics and music.

He teaches at the Gyumri branch of RA" Pyunik" Union of disabled people and introduces the "Sun" (Arev) Computer program to children with visual problems.
