"Not everybody who should be considered guilty are included in Vahan Khalafyan's case. Not everybody, who should have been under criminal investigation, are under it. Not all who are guilty are discovered," Artak Zeynalyan, the representative of Vahan Khalafyan's legal successor, informed www.hra.am. 

According to his impression, "The accusing side by every means wants the accusation to be confirmed in the court. However, the prosecutors want to protect the image of the police, saying that people can make a suicide but not be killed at the police station."

As Artak Zeynalyan states, the version that Khalafyan has been killed was not considered in the preliminary investigation. He is convinced and presented the evidence that "the body injuries by knife could not be made by Vahan himself, he was stabbed while being in horizontal position, and symptoms of clinical death were already seen".

"Vahan Khalafyan was stabbed on the head, when he was in the state of clinical death in order to imitated the case as a suicide", says Artak Zeynalyan.

According to the representative of legal successors of Vahan Khalafyan, the first blow was small, about 3 cm, which could not lead to a death, even if it is of 12 cm. The second blow was given in the direction of the area of aorta, to cause the death, but the aorta was not damaged."

The next court session on Vahan Khalafyan's case will be on November 29, 2010.
