The 2011 draft budget provides for 50 million AMD (about U.S. $140,000) for free treatment of HIV/AIDS patients with ARMENICUM. It is for the first time that funds have been budgeted for this purpose.

The funds will be sufficient for 157 patients, whereas about 1,000 HIV/AIDS patients have officially been registered in Armenia. 
The average price of the drug is 31,900 AMD (about U.S. $90).
