“Let Your Hammer Break, Unfair Judge!”

After the trial the Teghut Protection Group, "Heritage" party youth, representatives of a number of environmental organizations held a protest action in the court yard. They organized a symbolic funeral of the RA Administrative Code.

Participants of the action were wearing shirts with different ecological images, e.g. a tree with an axe in it. They were also wearing alternative adornments and convincing everyone not to wear ornaments made of mined gold and silver.

Activist of Teghut Protection Group Mariam Sukhudyan embodied Goddess of Justice - Themis, with scales in one hand and a sword in the other.

"On one of the scale pans was the man with his outer and inner ecology. We do not separate nature from the man because polluted nature is the degenerated man, we do not accept this differentiation. On the other scale pan is the money they are trying to bribe me with. And my sword is a symbol that I am always ready and will fight if I see breach of law, I will stop that process," Mariam Sukhudyan said.

One of the action participants held a poster with the words "Let Your Hammer Break, Unfair Judge!" Another youth held map of Armenia and Karabakh covered with "wounds" that were supposed to be tailings and mines. Speaking about the contents of that poster Mariam Sukhudyan said:

"We painted those mines, tailings with blood because it is blood if we imagine it as a living organism, and it is so. People approach and treat them by bandaging."

A group of children drew a sun, a tree and an axe on the ground of the court yard.

"Bicycle+" NGO, a group of young musicians and representatives of Women's Resource Center joined Teghut protection action.
