Lusine Sahakyan and Yervand Varosyan, attorneys of Nikol Pashinyan, chief editor of Haykakan Zhamanak, appealed today to the Court of Appeal against the January 19 decision of the Kentron and Nork-Marash court of general jurisdiction, demanding to acquit him. Lusine Sahakyan informed about that.

Nikol Pashinyan was returned guilty by Part 1 of Article 225 of RA Criminal Code.

On February 10, prosecutor Harutyun Harutyunyan too appealed the Court of Appeal, demanding a conviction also by Part 1 of Article 316 of RA Criminal Code (using violence against public agent) for which the court had acquitted Pashinyan.
