On September 14th a workshop of Monitoring Boards of the Ministry of Justice and Police of Armenia was held.

Representatives of the OSCE office in Yerevan and Ombudsman’s office were in attendance of the workshop. Participants discussed the perspectives of Implementation of the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture in Armenia, current and future national preventive mechanisms. As a result of the meeting, a list of suggestions was developed for improvement of the Boards’ activities and an agreement was reach about further joint events and discussions.
