Byuzand Case to Be Heard in Constitutional Court
Today Byuzand street was quiet, officers of the court haven't come yet, though the residents say that this quietness is deceptive. «They can appear any moment, there are people living in two hoses yet», they say.
It's the 6th day that 3 women of Byuzand street have gone on hunger-strike. While our visit one of them, Anahit Melkonyan, was feeling bad and was not even able to get up from bed. As the head of the therapeutic department of divisional polyclinic said blood pressure of the hunger-strikers is rather low and they have stomach aches.
Yesterday Gayane Haroutyunian from the Human rights Defender’s office visited the women. She said that they wouldn’t achieve any result in that way. “Besides, there's a woman among them who has had an operation and she shouldn't hunger”, she said. Mrs. Haroutyunian noted that at the request of North and General avenues dwellers Larisa Alaverdyan appealed to Constitutional court.
Let’s remind that hunger-strikers demand restoration of human rights and full-fledged compensation of alienated property.
