RA Ombudsman Larissa Alaverdyan was seriously concerned by the pressures exercised upon journalists lately. She was also worried about the position of Armenia in the reputation list of the «Reporters without Borders» in which Armenia has lost 23 points in comparison to last year's statistics.

«Attacks, several corporal injuries, violations, hindering the work of the journalists and their arrest become bad practice harming the reputation of the country seriously», the announcement of the RA Ombudsman reads. «I expect the Government will do everything to find out those guilty for the violations of the rights of the journalists and to punish them».
