For being involved in the group of "Experts' Council for the Prevention of Torture", which works under the Human Rights Defender's Office, NGOs are welcomed to suggest the candidacy of their representatives.

Only NGOs which due to their charter carry out activities connected with torture and violence, can apply. The candidates with specialization of lawyer, psychologist, sociology, or doctor, will have preference. The experience in the relevant field is compulsory.

The Council is formed by the order of Defender - including 7-20 persons, with the period of two years, the full list of functions of the Council (in Armenian) can be found on the official website of the HRD.

The applications of the NGOs can be sent to h_davtian@ombuds.am till July 20, 18.00 o'clock.
