ArmeniaNow.com internet journal announces the release of “Remember 24”, a
collection of brief profiles of 24 survivors of the Armenian Genocide, who,
following the 1915-18 atrocities, moved to modern-day Armenia to settle and
raise families.

The 56-page book is meant as a document of record, hoped to lend some measure of
honor to lives that started in tragedy and endured hardship while remaining in
the new homeland that became their escape.

Profiles of the survivors were written and photographed by ArmeniaNow staff,
with research assistance by Photolure photo agency. Armenian Diaspora Hovig
Kurkyan, of Berlin, financed printing of 1,000 copies of the book, with a
first-run in English. Negotiations on subsequent languages are pending.

Through cooperation with the Armenian National Committee of America, 500 copies
of “Remember 24” have been sent to Washington, D.C., where they are to be
distributed to members of the US Congress, as the lawmakers debate a House
resolution on Genocide recognition.
