An Armenian soldier was killed: Defense Army Press Release

On March 17, at 17:30 a Defense Army term soldier Aharon A. Hayrapetyan (born in 1991) was injured by the rival on one of the army defensive positions located in the eastern direction of the Karabakh-Azerbaijan border (Askeran). After the incident, the injured soldier was immediately taken to the military hospital, where he died at 18:59.

The fact that the attack occurred one hour after the trilateral agreement of the exchange of prisoners made on March 5 in Sochi and nearly on the same defensive posts of one sector, proves that the Azerbaijan side not only has no respect for the maintenance of cease-fire regime, but also deliberately tries to avoid any mission directed to peaceful resolution of the conflict. This is a circumstance that needs a proper assessment by the international organizations working for the peaceful resolution of Karabakh issue.
