Sarkisov, who was sentenced for killing his wife, appealed the court's verdict

Yanis Sarkisov, who was sentenced for 10 years for killing his wife Zaruhi Petrosyan, appealed his verdict.
As a reminder, on the 1st of October, 2010, 20 years old Zaruhi Petrosyan died as a result of her husband Yanis Sarkisov's beatings. Sarkisov was found guilty by the 14th point of 2nd part of the article 112 of RA Criminal Code for intentionally damaging the health, which negligently caused death (6-10 years of imprisonment is provisioned).
On the 14th of October the Court of First Instance sentenced Sarkisov with maximum of 10 years of imprisonment. This decision is now appealed by the attorney Jora Harutyunyan.
He demands that Sarkisov was found not guilty, insisting that Zaruhi's death was the result of suicide committed after she poisoned herself. He insists that she committed it because she had extramarital affairs.
The representative of Zaruhi Petrosyan's legal successor Gor Margaryan informed www.hra.am that on the 28th of November they presented the court an answer proving the fairness of the verdict. The words about poisoning do not correspond to the reality since the result of the forensic expertise showed that there was no poison found in the organism of Zaruhi Petrosyan.
