On the International Day of Children's Protection, with the initiative of FPWC, hundreds of children will protect one of their most vital rights; the right of living in a healthy and nice environment. On this day the Yerevan Zoo will turn into a big art-studio. The colors and images will convey the environmental concerns of children.

The event will be the start of the Pan-Armenian Painting Contest, which is already in its fourth year of being organized by FPWC with support of VivaCell-MTS. The official web-pagewww.paintingday.sunchild.org will be available from June 1st , where children ages 5-16 from all over can put their pictures online. On June 1st besides the painting contest are other surprises waiting for the visitors of Yerevan Zoo. Live music, various games, and performances will be organized for children. The participants of the contest will be able to present their pictures to the contest on June 1st. The entrance to Yerevan Zoo will be free for children with the special support of VivaCell-MTS.

The contest will last until September 1, 2011 and the winners will be announced during the 3rd Sunchild Environmental Festival, October 14-18. During this time as well the winners will be chosen not only by the jury, but also with online voting. The sum gathered from voting will go to the Yerevan Zoo.
