On November 15, 2011 Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia will review via oral procedure  the appeal  made by the  Human Rights Defender of Armenia about  compliance of the Article 1087.1 of the RA Civil Code  referring to the RA Law on Defamation and Insult to the RA Constitution.

Taking into account the fact that the mentioned article gives basis for more than 20 cases against  mass media to be  pending in the RA Courts General Jurisdiction and administrative courts, the Constitutional  Court  regards the Defender's application as an emergency  postponing for that reason all other cases  to be examined in the Constitutional Court by November  15.
