The RA Human Rights Defender launches a series of visits to 6 Armenian regions. The RA Human Rights Defender with his staff will meet citizens in Kapan on 17 November, in Yeghegnadzor - on 18 November, in Gyumri - on 22 November, in Ijevan - on 24 November, in Vanadzor- on 25 November, in Gavar - on 29 November. The visits will be implemented with the assistance of the EU Advisory Group to the Republic of Armenia.

The RA Human Rights Defender intends to set up offices in the regions in 2012. The series of visits will serve as a preparatory stage for the implementation of that initiative, during which staff recruitment and consideration of office space options will be held for Human Rights defender's representations in 6 regions.

The visits will provide an opportunity for the local population to receive individual advice from human rights experts. In the Defender's visit's frameworks round-table with NGOs and local self-government representatives will be held, as well as presentation of the HRD office and EUAG activities. 

The Human Rights Defender believes that protection of human rights must be accessible to every person everywhere.
