Is it possible that the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan announces amnesty on the occasion of the Republic Day? President was asked when visiting Sardarapat monument.

"In 2006 last amnesty was announced. If during those three years the idea of announcing a new amnesty has been matured in the society, then I am ready to use my Constitutional right. Hence, I call on the political forces, public council to present their recommendations on the necessity and conditions of the amnesty to the President's Cabinet, and if it turns out that there is a comprehensive need matured among the society, I'll use my Constitutional right and ask the National Assembly to adopt a law," the President said.
