On January 21st,, 2008 the Peacebuilding and conflict transformation resource center at CSI organized a meeting for Armenian and Turkish young people. The six persons from Turkey visited Armenia within the program of the Embassy of Great Britain, and at the Resource Center the discussion focused on foreign policies, civil society, social problems and interactions.
Last year, in Vienna the CSI president Artak Kirakosyan had a business meeting with a famous Austrian mediator, co-founder of the Trigon Institute, Friedrich Glasl. As a result of the meeting they reached to an agreement to translate Glasl’s book “Self-Help in Conflicts” into Armenian and organize a course on conflict resolution.
On December 3rd there was organized a discussion at CSI about the socio-economic outcomes of opening the Armenian-Turkish border. There were present students, representatives of international and local non-governmental organizations, experts and Turkish journalist Sefa Kaplan.
