The report of the Council of Europe Commissioner on Human Rights provides an objective assessment of the human rights situation in Armenia. However, in practice no significant efforts are made in Armenia towards addressing the raised issues.
On February 2, 2015 “Civil Society Institute” NGO issued a statement concerning the incident which had happened to the members of the “Founding Parliament” during the auto-rally to Artsakh. This incident is asssessed to be in violation of human rights and freedoms forbidden both under the RA and NKR Criminal Codes.

The reaction of "Civil Society Institute" on the incidents on January 15 in Yerevan and Gyumri:
“Civil Society Institute has been the only organization in Armenia to remember the names of all the sons killed in ceasefire name by name… You cannot imagine the parents’ joy when they see their son’s name mentioned in the newspaper… ”, says Aghunik Ghukasyan, the President of the “Ceasefire։
Civil Society Institute, Armenia organized a two-day Workshop on Organization Development, Planning and Management on August 29-30, 2014 in Tsakhkadzor, Armenia in the framework of the project “Assisting in development of sound civil society through strategic planning and implementation” funded by the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
Eighteen NGO representatives from Armenia and Republic of Negron Kharabakh were trained on such topics as, Phases of organization development, Event planning and management, Budget design, Voluntary Management, Integrating Social Media tools into NGO’s work.
On 1 October Civil Society Institute NGO reported to the Chief of Armenian Police and the Prosecutor on the events which had taken place several days before at Gold Market in M. Khorenatsi Street. It was claimed in the report to properly assess Head of the Market Vagharsh Abrahamyan’s actions and take measures within the jurisdiction including the institution of the criminal case.
Arman Danielyan, President of Civil Society Institute NGO asked Vladimir Gasparyan, Head of the Armenian Police to terminate his membership in the Police Disciplinary Commitee.
